Auditions and entrance exams begin for the 2024/25 season of caraBdanza.

AUDITION: April 20th 2024

First phase:

We will make a previous selection of the applicants, for this you must send the following material to our email ciacarabdanza@gmail.com (deadline April 16):

– Curriculum or cover letter, explaining whether or not you have previous training.
– Video of a contemporary dance solo of your choice. Second phase:

We will contact the shortlisted candidates for an interview and a dance audition, in person at our studio in Madrid, on April 20th, 2024.

ONLINE: until May 20, 2024

Applicants should send to our email escuela.cbd@gmail.com (specifying in the subject of the message that they want to take the online test) the following material:

– Curriculum or cover letter, explaining whether or not you have previous training.
– Video of a ballet barre.
– Video of a contemporary dance choreographic material created by another person.
– Video of a contemporary dance solo of your choice.

We created, we enjoy, we dance

caraBdanza, Compañía de Danza Contemporánea, was founded in Madrid in 2007 under the artistic direction of Gonzalo Díaz.
The work developed by the Company from the very beginning is situated in an internal state, in which each person involved
comes into contact with themselves, their emotions, their history, their ideas and connects with their surroundings.
In his work as a choreographer, Gonzalo Díaz carries out a personal creation work with interdisciplinary elements, after the search of his own language that creates through contemporary dance, where the technique finds its place of relevance. Following this line of work, various choreographies are incorporated, opening the company to new guest choreographers.

caraBdanza is a stable group, which is nourished by the artistic quality of its dancers. The company has received recognition for its work by obtaining awards in the “XXI Certamen Coreografíco de Madrid”; 2nd Prize in the “VII Certamen Internacional de Danza Burgos – Nueva York”; and has participated in prestigious dance festivals such as “XXIX edición Madrid en Danza” (Spain) or “Alto Jonio International Dance Festival” (Italy), among others.
