The Nutcracker
The Nutcracker discovers a world of dreams and fantasy based on the original story by Ernest Hoffman and the music composed by Piort Ilyich Tchaikovsky.
Gonzalo Díaz’s version of this classic tells the story of two brothers, María and Federíco. On Christmas Day, Maria’s godfather, Drosselmayer, gives his niece a nutcracker. The two brothers play happily with the new toy until Mary accidentally stumbles upon a guest, who is ill-tempered and upset, and breaks the doll. Sad and disconsolate Maria falls into a deep sleep where all the guests are transformed into story characters, to fight a great battle between light and shadow and her beloved nutcracker. Inspired by Ernest Hoffman’s original story
